Organizational Capacity
Tax-Exempt Status
Demonstrated track record of sound financial management, effective governance, and programmatic success in community-led initiatives.
Applicants must hold current 501(c)(3) public charity status or be a governmental entity, educational institution, or religious organization.
Geographic Focus
Initiatives must primarily serve communities within our defined regions of San Francisco, New York, and select international programs.
Detailed Grant Guidelines
Our commitment to transparency extends to our operational policies. We recognize the importance of robust infrastructure for effective program delivery and allow for reasonable indirect cost recovery. Specific percentages and caps are outlined in our full policy document, available upon request.
Grant recipients are expected to provide semi-annual progress reports and annual financial statements. Multi-year grants are subject to annual review, with renewal contingent on demonstrated impact and continued alignment with the Foundation's mission and values.
